Metaphor

Friar Lawrence uses metaphors and similes to express himself. An example is a simile to compare Romeo and Juliet’s love to fire and gunpowder. “Their triumph die , Like fire and powder” powder is a very flammable object and when mixed with fire it burns very quickly. The link between fire and love is thAt it might burn bright and run out of fuel quickly while their love might look long lasting since that love each other a lot it might end very quickly.
